The Press .is exercised by a Daily News interview with Lord Lonsdali, who represented tho Kaiser a.s Britain's warm friend, and a great upholder of peace, having a horror of war. Lord Lonsdale added that we had no greater ally and no one more devoted to England. Tho Pan-German newspapers declare that Lord Lonsdale has insulted both he German nation and tho Kaiser. The Radical Morton Post onetimes that the Kaiser has used Lord Lonrdale as an unofficial medium through which to make a pacific utterance after the dangerous Morocco episode. The paper adds that Germans had before known the disagreeable results of such utterances. What was really needed was a strong silent policy, without speeches. Paris, Monday. The Berlin correspondent of tie Journal des Debats says that Loid Lonsdale's statements have given anything but satisfaction to Germany, being at variance with public opinion.
