MR MILLAR AND MR GLOVER.
A MISTAKE SOMEWHERE. |"uv ThT.vnrt.wir.— Assort vy\os. j Wellington. This Day. In regard to the statement that has found circulation that Mr A. E. Glover's invitation to attend the Liberal caucus in Wellington was signed by the Hon. J. A. Millar, the Minister, interviewed, said "I have never sent anything to Mr Glover except congratulations upon his re-elec-tion. I never asked him or any other member of our party to come to Wellington." He added that there had been a mistake somewhere.
(The above telegram refers to a statement which appeared in yesterday's New Zealand Herald as follows: —"Mr A. E. Glover, M.P. for Auckland Central, informed a Herald representative yesterday that he hud received a message from the Hon. J. A. Millar requesting his presence at Wellington. Mr Glover was 3t a loss to understand why the message had not come from Sir Joseph Ward. There wag no indication in the message as to whether the members were required to attend a caucus of Government supporters in Wellington, hut it was presumed that that was the object of the message.")
