RATANUI BLOCK. A meeting o'Crown tenants of Mangeao or Ratanui block was held in the house of Messrs Lovvry and Thomas on Saturday week, to consider an offer of the Marokopa Co-operative Dairying Association to cart butter fat to their factory at Te Anga. Messrs Stanley and Haylock represented the association and informed the meeting that the Guvernment was prepared to form and widen fit for cartage the Mahoenui-Kawhia road between llatanui and Te Anga provided the settlers showed the want of such road by guaranteeing to milk a substantial number of cows. Two hundred ami fifty cows were guaranteed in the room. A deputation is to wait on the head of the Roads Department to ask that the road be formed forthwith.
