An extraordinary duel hag been fought by two journalists, both well known in Paris. In consequence of a difference of opinion regarding the merits of the scientific research work accomplished by Madame Curie, a quarrel arose between M. Chowet, editor of Gil Bias, and M. Leon Daudet, editor of L'Action Francaise, and they decided to settle the matter at the point of the sword. The duel was fought under a battery of cameras. There were several fierce bouts. Finally M. Daudet was wounded in_ the arm, and a reconciliation immediately followed.
