The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. report: At Te Kuiti, on November 29tb. we submitted 366 head of cattle, which all sold at excellent prices, there being a keen demand for young cattle. Prices—lS month steers £4 4s, 3 year steers £5 2", 15 month steers of good quality £3 12s to £3 19s, others £3 :)s to £3 9s, 16 month heifers £4 Is to £4 2s, yearling heifers £2 12s (Id to £3 7s 6d. mixed yearlings £2 15s. yearling Jersey bulls 5 to Shgns. springing heifers £5 to £5 ss. dairy cows up to £S 7s 6d, empty cows £4 5s to £5 ss, according to condition, fat and forward shorn wethers 15s. At Otorohanga on November 30th our entry totalled 247 head of cattle, also sheep and pigs. There was a large attendance of settlers from all the' surrounding districts and every line was eagerly competed for. a total clearance being effected. Prices Fat cows £5 5s to £5 12s od, small fat steers £6 10s, empty cows in fresh condition £4 to £4 12s Cd, store cows £2 19s to £3 Ms, 2 to 2h vear steers £4 16s to £4 17s, 15 to IS month steers £3 to £3 10s, yearling steers £2 16s to £2 18s, 2 year empty heifers £4 to £4 15s, 12 to 15 month heifers £2 16a to £3 14s, good quality weaner pigs 12s 6d to 14s Gd, slips Is to 21s.
