ARIA.

Own Correspondent. One of the best socials and dances ever held in Aria was given by Mrs Holloway on 27th, when a large number gathered in their new billiard room. The room is a very large one, and when finished will contain two tables, and will compare favourably with any this side of Auckland. Songs were given during the evening by Mr F. Mayne, who also acted as M.C., everything going splendidly. After partaking of refreshments, a hearty vote of thanks was given to Mr and Mrs Hol'oway, ending with cheers. Dancing was kept up till daylight. The contract for the Town Hall is let, and we hope to soon be able to have many enjoyable nights, which will make us forget the bad roads which stops many visitors from coming this way.
