ASSESSMENT COURT.
♦ TE KUITI BOROUGH SITES. A sitting of the Assessment. Court was held at To Kuiti on Wednesday last for the purpose of assessing lie values of the properties taken by Te Ivuiti Borough Council for municipal buildings, public pound and quarry n serve. Judge Holland presided aid Mr .John Ormbsy appeared for the Maori Land Mrll. Hine for tho borough, and Mr Finlay for Mensr: Cotter Bros., lessees of tho pound nit". His Worship the Mayor (Mr -I. Buddie) and town clerk (Mr G. Darby shire), gave evidence on behalf of the council.
The price for the municipal silo consisting of half an acre in liora street was fixed at .£77!>. The pound site on Waiteti road of IJ acres was fixed at .£2O, the owner's interest being assessed at £l2 and tho at .£X.
The price for the quarry reserve \v:<: assessed at JIITiO, half of which amount was awarded to the native owner and half to the lessee, Mr KnU son.
