IMPROVED FARM SETTLEMENT.
■9- - ASSISTING THE SETTLER. The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, speaking at Taumarunni on Wednesday night, referred to tinvarious Improved Farm Settlements in this part of the North Island. He said that in connection with the. Tangitu block the Government had decided to finance the settlers to the extent of £2400 for the purchase of :l.">0 cows in
order to give them a start with the dairying'industry. The Government recognised that something had to lie done for tiiese people to assist them in establishing their homes. He was looking forward to the results with great interest.
