RACING.
Mr Morse announced the weights for the Auckland Cup on Friday last, and appears to have, cn the whole, made a good handicap, Of course, in every race it seems impossible to handicap all horses to have a chance, and in this case, as always, it is impossible to bring all the horses together. The top weight naturally falls to the lot of Bobrikoff, but it can be taken as doubtful if he will stand a preparation for a solid two mile race, and, in any case, on past showing, over the A.R.C. course, I do not pick him as a likely winner of. Of the lot handicapped over 8 stone, I do not think Waimangu has got more than his deserts at 8.6, and he is given another chance of annexing the two-mile race. Sedition is also handicapped nicely at 8.4 and I expect to see him close up at the finish. I do not think anything over 8 stone will be ahead of these two. Counterfeit is ailotted 7.12
