AMUSEMENTS.

EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY. Another excellent programme of up-to-date pictures was screened by the above company at Te Kuiti Town Hall on Monday evening, and thoroughly enjoyed by all present. On Monday evening next a monster programme will again be presented, comprising srbjects a most varied nature. There will be an exciting cowboy drama entitled "One of Nature's Noblemen," in which the scenes are of the most thrilling description, culminating in a desperate fight between the "boys" and Apache Indians, two beautiful scenic-travel pictures, a clever vaudeville act by the Harrison troupe, the very latest issue of Pathe's Gazette, with a heap of topical events of recent occurrence, an interesting educational picture entitled "The Soapstone Industry," a couple of very fine dramatic subjects, "Dead Man's Honour" and "The Deserter," an acrobatic comedy of a most amusing description cal ; ed "Jack and Jim," and three other comics, viz., "Misplaced Jealousy," "A Rich Revenge," and "Muscle Development," full of healthy fun. The programme, it is said, will be one of the best, not a bit on the "heavy side," and one calculated to please, amuse and interest all who see it.
