BIG BLAZE IN AUCKLAND.
MACKY. LOGAN'S WAREHOUSE. PREMISES TOTALLY DESTROYED. [MY Tl'gKUHAril.—-dUNS ASSOCIATION;.] Auckland, Friday. At 11 o'clock last night a fire occurred in Macky, Logan and Caldwell's warehouse in Victoria and Darby streets. By 1.00 a.m. Iho premises were completely gut led. Some of the adjoining premises were badly damaged. The whole ware bouse was soon a flame from end to end and top to bottom, anil in hulf-nn-hour the warehouse was a roaring furnace. It: appeared a. miraclo the Gity Chamliers block adjoining was saved from deal met ion. With tin- Lolling of the roof l.herp was a rush of dames and the fire gained a bold, on jloldsworth and Sons' boot factory, but the firemen succeeded in suppressing the flames there, and bo fore Ion;; bad the outbreak reduced to a nilo of smoking ruins.
