T. for services rendered tvi the district. Mr Kiely. chairman of tJio Town Hoard, presided, and there worn speaker* from all parts, including Captain Saunders, Kev. Monfries. of Manunui, Mr UniHH, County chairman, and Mr Cox, of Karioi, 1 iic oldest settler in Waimarino, who eulogised the services rendered to the di.'Uriel hy Mr .Jennings. Mr .Jennings feelingly replied, rethe boundaries had cut him out, and prophesied increased prosperity for Waitnarino, which had altered from the hush to a prosperous district, in three years' time. A presentation of a silver tea service was made Mrs ,lennin|»H by the ladies of the district. Cheers for the member, and sinning of "For he's a jolly good fellow," concluded the which was characterised hy enthusiastic goodwill towards the late member.
