At '-Te Kuiti Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr F. O'B. Loughnan, S.M., and Mr \V. Cornish, ,J.P., J. S. Gardner sued Alfred Julian for £27 Ids for preparation of [dans and specifications and supervision of erection of a residence. Mr Sharpies appeared for plaintiff and Messrs Finlay and JTowarth for <!<• IVndant., Payment was resisted en the grounds that plaintiir bad been negligent, and alter the bench am! bar b.ni ms-pcted the house and heard a quantity of expert, evidence, the magistrate decided that the plaintiff bad passed certain work whicli was nee.ligentlv done and allowed the defendant a reduction of '_'!<> in this respect;, giving judgment for plaintiff for Xl 7 I.os.
