On the 14th inst. a fancy dress ball, given by the bachelors of the district, was held in the hall, Marakopa. It was a most successful event, financially speaking, and a considerable sum of money as a result will be added to the general account to help improve the present hall. Many thanks are due to Mrs f-J. WilHson and to several others, without whom, and the assistance rendered by them, the ball would not have been so successful.
