The second Church of England social gathering was hold m the Church Hall on Tuesday evening Ir.st. 'the weather was wretched, which n>i doubt prevented many lrom a t l.erincd ing. Still, in spite of this. the gathering was a fair one. The following items were given during the (veiling Pianofort solo, Mis* Lee: song. "Trooper .Johnnie Ludlow," j/jr 1L Ilenry; vocal duel, ''Venetian I .ove Song," Mesdaroes Castle? and House ; song, "An Old Lock. Dr ( .arolan : recitation. "Curfew Shall not. King To-night," Mire Carr: song. "On' on the Deep." MrPric?: song. "Thorn," Miss Wells; song, "Mnr,it>rie." Mr K. Henry; song, "Cherry Lipc. • Mrs House: song. "InfoLce, ' I'r i aroian. Many encores had to he given. Supper having been dispensed, an enjoyable evening was brought to a close.
