TE KUITI CHORAL SOCIETY
A meeting was held on Wednesday evening in the Church of England Schoolroom to consider the advisability of forming a Choral Society in Te Kuiti. The Rev. A. Armst.ron/: occupied the chair. Some thirty people were present.
Professor Swallow who a (tended the meeting stated that if it; was their wish that he should act as conductor, he would do all he could to promote the interest of the society. A resolution t hat a society he formed to be called "The To. Nuiti Chora] Societv" was unanimously carried. The following oflicers were elected :
-Patron. Mr J. Boddie; President. Mr E. 11. Hardy ; Vice presidents, Rev. Armstrong. Rev. Wayne, Messrs. A. V. Snadden, N. C. Matthew, T. E. Foy, and R. M. Somorvjlle. : (.Conductor, Professor Swallow ; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr 11. J. Mussen: Pianist., Miss Ivy Graham; Deputy Pianist, Mrs Stanton. Committee: Mrs A. C. Johnson, Mrs Cassell, Mrs Harrow. Messrs Tassel! and Blackmail.
It was arranged that the proceeds of the first concert he given to the Cottage Hospital. The Society agreed to meet weekly for practice on Wednesday's ait, ',"..'10 n, m.
