Mr Gadsby (President) in the chair,

A lengthy discussion took place as to whether classes for school gardens should be placed on the schedule. The President said it would have to be open for schools all over the country, from Wellington to Auckland. Mr J. B. Young thought the expense incurred in judging would prohibit this class.

Mr Sharpies explained the position with regard to the freehold site. Major Lusk spoke at length re the Racing Club's offer and strongly advised that it be accepted. Mr J. B. Young also thought the offer should be accepted, he considered the offer was a generous one. Major Lusk moved:- "That this meeting 1 approve of the proposal to unite with the Racing Club in providing accommodation for the Agricultural and Pastoral Assocation if details of the proposed agreement can be agreed to by the Executive Committees of the Racing Club snd Agricultural Association the agreement to be referred for final approval to a general meeting of the association, and that a meeting be called immediately the agreement has been prepared."
