The donation of .£IOO promised by the proprietors of Tonking's Linseed Emulsion to any institution or charity selected by the public, will lie made towards the cost of providing books for the Levin Public Library. The voting throughout has caused even the enumerators considerable excitement. The £IOO looked likegoing first to one town, then to another, and it would appear as though the public were aware of every fluctuation, for no sooner did one institution lead than another came to the front. However, towards the finish the Levin Free Library was seen to be the winner, and we congratulate the townspeople of Levin on their good fortune.
