A QUESTION OF TRADE.

To The Editor. Sir,—The local storekeepers in these here parts accordin to there laments always sells goods at nearly a loss, or at least with just one small profit. It is very amusin to see them in private sortin out ties for the use of country fellers. Them ties in glass cases is worth Is Gd and them on the line is worth Is. The only difference being that one is marked "superior quality," and put m a shinin glass case, and the others on the line has there virtues disgised under the titel of "a strong and useful article" for rough and tumble wear; can be used for a piller or a gun wad as occasion demands. I am sufficiently well versed in the wiles of my countrymen to take notice of these trifles, which are the salt of the life of trade, and which come under my observation pretty frequently. Of course I kept a sort of store once and played all these games myself. I am, gtc STARRBOTTEL.
