Skating seems to continue to be a j very popular pastime in Te Kuiti. j Slight improvements have been made j to the building internally, also to the floor, and in the management, all ] which adds greatly to the comfort of j the public. A skating assembly has j also been formed, which holds session | every Friday evening, to which skaters are specially invited, and the general public will bo admitted as spectators only on that evening. A plain and fancy dress skating carnival will be held in the rink on August 22nd, half the proceeds of which are to be donated to the Cottage Hospital fund.
