COUNTRY NEWS.
(Own Correspondents). Hanilsiwi. The weather for the past week has been rather exceptional for this time of the year. During this month generally we expect rather boisterous weather, but instead have been having beautifully fine and clear days. The frosts, however, have been rather severe on the young grass, completely destroying its growth. _ Bushfelling is being earned on rapidly while the fine days last, and the feathered tribe have had to seek in many cases, homes further back, where perhaps they will remain unmolested till next year. _ Several lambs have made their appearance in the district. Feed in most places is now feeling the effect of the winter. The stock are gradually working it out, but indications seem to point to there being enough to carry them over till springtime.
