Sir Eldon Gorst, whose death is cabled yesterday, was a nephew of Mr F. G. Moore, the Masterton County Clerk, whose sister married Sir John Gorst Mr Moore resided with the Gorst family at Te Awamutu just before the Maori War broke out.
