The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co, Ltd., report:— On June 14th, we held a land and clearing sale on the farm near Waibou on behalf of Mr C. Cardenas, Only the homestead block, comprising 220 acres was sold, this being purchased by Mr McCabe, at £2O an acre. The other four sections will likely sell in a few weeks. The four draught horses Were and made £33 10s, £39, £4O and £44. waggon £27, Holstein heifers £7 10s to £ls 15a, Shorthorn heifers £5 5s to £l9 10s, four Holstein bulls £lO 10s to £l2 12s. Since we held the auction sale of. Messrs Bagnall Bros., 2000 acreß of the Turau Estate four weeks ago we have disposed of all the sections. At Morrinsville, on 16th June we held our usual stock sale, when the yarding consisted of 1126 sheep and 239 cattle, well fattened. Wethers made from 18s to 21s, heavy fat ewes, 15s, medium weight ewes 10s to 13s 4d, forward ewes 8s 6d to 9s 6d, store lambs 6s 9d to 7s 6d, well-fattened steers £9 10s to £lO ss, medium fattened mall steers £7 12s 6d, fat cows £5 7s 6d to £6 sa, 18 month to 20 month steers £3 6s to £3 10s, store cows £3 to £3 ss, fair calves £1 13b to £1 17s, fair dairy cows, culled from breds, £5 to £7. On June 15th we held a clearing sale at Morrinsville on behalf of Mr J. K. Franks, Forty dairy cows made from £6l 5s to £9 10s, averagingabout £7 10s, heifer calves £2 3s, draught horses £5 to £22, milk waggon £29 10s, dray £los, discs £l2 10s gig £lB, drill £27, roller £l9.

Mesrss Dalgety and Company report : •• At Matamata on Wednesday 14th inst., we yarded a fair entry of cattle and a line of 50 fat ewes. There toas a good attendance, and bidding was brisk throughout, especially for calves which made a decided rise. Heifers in calf were lower than usual, but we were able to dispose oi some of the lines. We quote as under: —Fat ewes 12s, fat heifers £5 ss, fat cows £4 16s, empty cows £2 7s to £3 ss, empty heifers £3 4s t® £3 16s, bulls £2 12s 7sd to £4, calves £1 6s to £2 2s f< filly £ls, pigs 15s, fowls la sd, dray £5. At Hamilton on Thursday, 15th inst., we had a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. There was a fair attendance, and bidding was brisk throughout. The shpep sold well with tb6 exception of one line. Pigs sold considerably better, and sold all entered. All the cattle sold well, especially beef, and these also were all quitted. We quote as under: Pat ewes 15s 4d, fat ewes and wethers 14s, fat lambs 10s to lis, store lambs Bs, pigs 9s 7d to 17s, sows £1 9s to £1 19s 9d, fat heifres £4 to £6 10s, fat cows £5 'to £5 10s, heifers in calf £4, empty heifers £3, springing heifers £5 2snßd : to 6 15s, springing cows £7 ss, yearling Jersey heifer £4 2s 6d. At Pio Pio on 21st, there was but a poor yarding, but the attendance was good. No doubt the bad-state of the roads affects the yarding of stock. Prices: 2 tooth wethers 14s, springing heifers £5 5a to £6 ss. Newton King reports:— On Wednesday, 14th inst.; I held a clearing sale at Riverlea on account of Mr A. McEwan,- when there was a good attendance. There was keen competition for the stock, which was mostly young, and good prices were realised. Weaners made 30s 6d, springing heifers £5 to £5 17s 6d. In calf heifers £4 Is, to £4 7s 6d, .dairy cows £5 2s 6d to £9 17s 6d, store cows £3l sa, pony £6» mare £9, trap boise £l3, 3 year draught eolt £3O ss, plough £6. At Midhurst, on Thursday, 16th, I held a sale on account of Mr A. G. Fisher. There was a large number in attendance, and any of tljte stock showing quality and in forward condition, especially the Jersejys, were keenlv competed for. On Monday I held a clearing sale on the Lowe-Palmer road, on account of Mr V. A Stapleton. when there was a fair attendance The stock was.well competed for, and the dairy cows, close up were in good demand. Early calvers made £7 5s to £l2, later £5 10s to £7, very late £3 10s to £5, weaners £2 6s—these were good Jersey strain, grade Jersey bull £2 2s, bay gelding £l3 5s hack £lO, weaner pigs 7s, stores 15s to 19s, sows £2 ss, cans 235, plough £7, milk waggon £32, 72 shares in the Kaupokonai Dairy Factory brought £2l.
