KAWHIA DAIRY FACTORY.
At a meeting of shareholders and suppliers to Te Kau-a-Moa Dairy Company held last Saturday, there was only a moderate attendance. The question of closing the Rau-a-Moa and opening the Kawhia factory was fully considered, and eventually it was decided to submit an offer to Messrs Dalgety and Co. for the lease of the Kawhia premises with the option of purchase. This has accordingly been done, the result of the negotiations being that satisfactory arrangements have been made to start operations early in the coining season. The dircetors wish it to be understood that they will be prepared to receive cream at the Kawhia factory in September, and that details as regards conveyance, etc. will be discussed later. The directors have left it optional with suppliers as to whether they accept a straight-out offer for cream delivered or become shareholders and participate in the Company's profits.
