At Urenui there wag a small yarding, and bidding waa quiet. Calves made 16s, to 21s, heifer calves 32s 6d, 18 month to 2 year heifers £3 15s, 18 month steers £3 ss, store cows £3 Is, 2£ year steers £4 2s 6d, 4 tooth wethers 14s 6d.
At gtratfqrcj pp Tuesday, there wag a good yarding of principally grown cattle. Bidding dragged for nearly all classes except store cows and weanera, which fully maintained late values. Calves made 16s 6d, good calves 28s, heifer calves 23s to 36s 6d, 2i to 3 year heifers in calf £4 15s to £5 12s, 18 month empty Jersey heifers £4 10s, store cows £2 17s to £3 3s, forward cows £4 6s to £4 10s, fat cows £5 to i' 6. Mr gimpgon's dairy herd met with good competition, and sold as follows: -Young and early calvers £5 10s to £8 15s, aged and late calvers £2 15a to £5.
At Stony River on Wednesday therj was a small yarding, and few buyers. Calves made 26s 6d, six month steers £3 15s, forward cows £4 10s, store cows 475, springing heifers £5 10s, bull £5 18s.
ffjie New Ijoan and Mercantile Agency Co., report i—At Te Kuiti, on Wednesday, May 31st, wg yarded 453 cattle and 300 pbeeP: There was a large attendance of buyevs from all parts of the King Country and Waikato, and brisk competition for all classes of cattle, but sheep were dull of sale. The total entry of the former was cleared at following rates: —Fat sheep £8 10s to £lO, fat cows £5 16s to £6 7s 6d, light weight heifers £5 5s to £5 18s,

We held our usual monthly sale at Ngaruawhia on Friday last, when we yarded 420 cattle. There was good competition throughout, buyers being present from Upper and Lower Waikato, Mangare, Tuakau and Drury. Almost a total clearance was effected at following rates: 3£ year steer in fresh condition £ 5 19s to £6 ss, 3 year steers £5 to £5 6s, 2J year steers £4 5s to £4 10s, 18 month to 2 year steers £3 to £3 9s, fat cows £5 lOsto £6 lis, empty cows and heifers in fresh condition £3 10s to £4, store cows £2 12s to £2 18s, year heifers in calf £4, calves £1 4s to £1 12s, grown bulls £3 12s 6d to £4 10s, dairy cows up to £5 10s, woolly hoggets 8s 3d. Twenty-three acres of turnips at Horotiu realised £6O.
The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At Hamilton on June Ist we had a full yarding of 2170 sheep and 480 cattle. Too many fat sheep came forward and prices were easier. Fat cattle were required and sold well, as did store cattle. Dairy heifers were lower than at last few sales. Fat ewes lis 6d to 16s, the latter price being obtained for very heavy sheep, fat wethers 15s to 17s 3d. but no heavy weights were in, fat lambs 10s to 12s, forward medium sized wethers 13s lid to 14s Bd, good lambs 7a 6d to 9s, small store lambs 4s 3d to 6s, small fat ateera 437 5s to £8 10d, medium eiaed and medium fattened £8 15s to £9 15s, heavy fat cows £7 12s 6d, medium weight cows £5 to £6, fresh S year ateera £5 15s, 18 month steers £3 7s 6d to £3 12s 6d, good calves 38s to 3s, extra good £2 Bs, heavy fat calves £2 15s, Holstein and Jersey cross heifers in calf £5 5s to £6 6s, but these were only medium sized cattle, Shorthorn cross heifers in calf £4 10s, most of the heifers were lat calvers, dairy cows £4 10s to £5 ss, bulls £2 10s to £4. We also offered 22 J acre sections of land at Kirikiriroa on behalf of the N.Z. Dairy Association, and sold 19 of them at prices ranging from £35 to £BO.
