A. & P. ASSOCIATION.

A further meeting of ladies in connection with the home industries section of the A. and P. Association was held yesterday afternoon, Mrs Gadsby presiding. The following executive was appointed, with power to add to their number: —Mesdames Gadsby, Somerville, Hudaleston, N. C. Matthew, Wolff, Jordan, senr., and Dransfield.

It was decided that the Executive meet on Saturday afternoon to revise the proposed schedule. It was resolved to add the names of Misses Grattan and Day to the committee to take charge of school exhibits.

It was decided to add a Native section to the list.

The following further prizes were donated:—Mrs Melling, 5s for bouquet wild flowers, for children under 14; Mrs Bond, ss, for chip-carving for boys under 16; Mr Hardy, £1 Is, for most artistic iced cake and best pancake on show-ground; Mrs Cowen 10s 6d, Mrs Dransfield £1 Is, Mrs Broadfoot £1 Is, Mrs Somerville £1 Is, Mrs Gadsby £1 Is; Mrs Walsh will give a prize for best roses. It was decided to hold a ball in aid of the A. and P. Show and a number of offers as regards catering were made by those present. By a slip of the pen Mrs M. J. Jones, who is a member of the ladies' committee of the A. and P. Association, was given as Mrs J. James in our report of the ladies' meeting last week.
