Heifers in calf sold fairly well, a choice line of Jersey cross bringing from £8 to £8 2s 6d. Pigs were in poor demand. The following prices were realised: Prime fat wethers £1 23 Gd, fat wethers 19s to £1 0s 6d, forward wethers 4 and 6 tooth 16s sd, fat ewes 13s 9d, fat lambs 9s 3d to 9s 7d, weaner pigs 7s, spw £1 10s, fat steers £7 Is, fat heifers £5 18s to £6 15s, 21 year gteers £4, yearling steers.£2, heifera, in calf £4 5s to £8 2s 6d, calvea £1 bulls £3 10s to £4 sa.

At Ngaruawhia on 26th May, we heldd our usual monthly sale, when we had a fair yarding of cattle. The sheep consisted mostly of ewes in lamb for which there was little demand, but we managed to clear all with the exception of two lines. Cattle were not very brisk, yearling heifers bringing £1 12s, calves 14s 6d to £l, springing cows £.i to £6 ss.
