A meeting of the Boy Scouts Committee will be held on Monday night at 8.0 o'clock in the "Chronicle" office.

Mr McKinnon, member for the Kurarau Riding in the Ohura County Council, left for Queensland on Tuesday. It is Mr McKinnon's intention to look for land in that State and settle there. His health has not been good for some time in New Zealand and he hopes that a change of air and scene will set him up. Mr McKinnon is very well known as an earnest public man, indefatigable in promoting the interests of country settlers.

Travers, in consequence of leaving the district, is offering all his freehold sections in Te Kuiti, under the hammer on Saturday next, at 2 p.m., at Graham's auction mart. There are nine sections in all, one block of about three acrea will be offered alternatively, as a block or in sections. Mesrsy Mackay and Jones are the agents, and all particulars can be obtained from them.
