EXPLOITING MOKAU.
Another important sale of Mokau property has been effected, Messrs Johnston and Loujjhnan, of Palmeraton North, having purchased the mineral rights of the Mangapapa block of 1-1,000 acres on the north aide of the river the surface rights of which were recently acquired by Mr Chambers of Ilawke's Bay.
The purchasers of the Mokau Mohakatino block known as "Mokau Jones," have commenced preparations for settlement and hope to see fifty families on the land in a year. They retain the mineral rights.
