HALF-YEARLY MEETING.

By Telegraph.—Tress Association.— CopjrigiM Received LI ay 26, 10.5 p.m. Sydney, Last Night. The half-yearly meeting of the Bank of New South Wales was held to-day, and showed profits of £204,373. to which £57,342 are added from last year. A dividend at the rate of ten per cent, was declared, and there was added to the reserve fund £53,265, and carried forward £62,113. The capital paid up amounted to £18,690, making a capital of £2,913,802. The Chairman stated that deposits, especially fixed deposits, were still on the increase, owing to the general prosperity, and the accumulation of money awaiting investment. Bills discounted and loan advance showed an increase of £2,400,000, and were well spread throughout Australia and New Zealand.
