WEDDING.

j BODDIE--WILLIS. j A very pretty wedding of consider- | able locai interest took place at St. i Bride's Church, Otorohanga, en | Thursday, May 18. the contracting ! parties being Mr Harry .Boddie, son | of Mr Jas. Boddie, Mayor of Te Kuiti, : and Miss Willis, second daughter of '< Mr J. Willis, gram merchant, of i Otorohanga. The Rev. E. S. Wayne ■ was the officiating clergyman. The ; weather was unfortunately coid and bleak, but nevertheless the church : was well filled with relatives and well- ; wishers. The bride was charmingly I attired in soft white chiffon : taffeta silk. She had a charming i innovation in the arrangement

of her veil, wearing it draped ; away from her face over a coronet of orange blossoms. Instead of the cus- ; tomary bouquet she carried a prayer book with long ribbon streamers. Miss Boddie, the chief bridesmaid, was dressed in soft white silk, the j bodice being made with a tucked i bolero outlined with cream insertion. ! She wore a black velvet picture hat i trimmed with a sequinned band, and long black feather, and carried a pretty bouquet of white chrysanthemums tied with long ribbon loops. Two little tots —a sister of the bride and a niece of the bridegroom—also attended as bridesmaids, being dressed in white silk Empire frocks with tucked bonnets to match, whilst each carried a basket of white and pink dowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Fenton, of Te Kuiti, and Mr Willis presented the bride at the altar. Afer the ceremony, the happy couple proceeded to the residence of the bride's parents, where a sumptuous spread awaited the many guests. KENDALL—BELL. A very pretty wedding took place on Monday last at Mr Munroe's house on the Troopers' road, near Te Kuiti, the parties being Francis John Kendall, farmer, of Paemako, and Hannah Louisa Bell, a sister of Mrs Munroe. The best man was Mr E. E Funke, and the bridesmaid Miss Lilian Cuncliffe.. Atfer the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was held at the house, and the bridal party were photographed.
