MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION. j
A meeting or the above Union was held in the "Chronicle olfice on Tuesc!av evening. A large number of delegates were present from various clubs.
Resolved that the liangatiki team play as juniors to the Oparure team, and that the colours of the junior team be black jersey and white pants. The Secretary of the Goklfields Union wrote asking the Maniapoto Union to visit the Goldlields on July loth. On account of the club fixtures an earlier date could not be fixed. — Resolved that a representative team be sent on the date mentioned, and that the date of the return fixture be arranged without delay. Fixtures for the first round in the senior grade competition were redrawn as follows: —
May 20 Te Kuiti v. Otorohanga, at Otorohanga. Mangapeehi v. Tanehopuwai, at Te Kuiti. Oparure a bye.
May 27 —■ Oparure v. Mangapeehi, at Oparure. Te Kuiti v. Tanehopuwai, at Te Kuiti. Otorohanga, a bye.
June ?>— Oparure v. Tanehopuwai, at Oparure. Mangapeehi v. Otorohanga, at Mangapeehi. Te Kuiti a bye.
June 10 - Otorohanga v. Oparure, at Otorohanga. Te Kuiti v. Mangapeehi, at Te Kuiti. Tanehopuwai, a bye.

A draw for matches in the B grade resulted as. follows: —
May 27 Te Kuiti v. Oparure, at Te Kuiti Otorohanga, a bye.
Resolved that the previous resolution deciding that three rounds constitute the season be cancelled, and that two rounds be played. This was necessary on account of the inclusion of a fifth team.
On a vote of delegates being taken, it was decided that club caps, not rep. caps, be donated to the winning team, and that the Union donate £5 5s towards the purchase of the caps. It was resolved that the Maniapoto Referees' Association be recognised by the. Union. Mr Lusk stated that the Referees' Association intended to obtain an examiner from Auckland at a later date.
Seventy-two names of players were, registered for the Otorohanga Club; 37 for Oparure juniors; 74 for Te Kuiti Club; 4S for Mangapeehi Club; 30 for Tanehopuwai Club; 50 for Oparure seniors. A total of 311 players therefore have been registered in the Union.
Referees were appointed for next Saturdays matches. Resolved that the Secretary of the Rotorua Rugby Union be written to and asked if he could arrange home and home matches with the Maniapoto Union.
Resolved that the meetings of the Management Committee of the Union be in future held fortnightly on Tuesday evenings. The next meeting will therefore be held on Tuesday, June Cth, at 7.30 p.m., in the "Chronicle" office.
