Rev. O'Reilly, Provincial of St. Vincent Fathers, Bathurst, says that in the minds of millions of Englishmen Empire Day stands for everything that is aggressive, blatant and jingoistic in Imperial policy. Cardinal Moran, interviewed, stated emphatically that the Roman Catholics of the Empire were not disloyal, and added: The Bishops and Archbishops of the Commonwealth have forwarded to the King a valuable gem, accompanied by a letter offering their loving homage and devoted loyalty.
