After some hours of retirement, the jury brought in a verdict of manslauhter against Sadler, with a strong recommendation to mercy. Mr Russell asked leave to take the case to the Court of Appeal, on the ground that the evidence was unjustified. The verdict in Jack's case was held over till the Court of Appeal decided Sadler's case. The question of bail will be decided to-day.
