WORKS COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the Works, Water and Drainage Committee of Te Kuiti Borough Council was held last night. Mr M. Forsyth was appointed chairman. It was decided to leave the matter of iron chimneys in the hands of the Building Inspector, as formerly. It was decided to meet Mr Travers and go into the matter of making the road with him. The tender of H. Rothery for making the drainage on the waterworks site, was accepted. The Engineer was instructed to call for tenders for reticulation pipes and materials for the Borough water supply, and to metal the balance of Carroll street. He was also instructed to call tenders for Hill street formation.
