RECIPROCITY.
TAFT'S BLUNT SPEECH.
By Telegraph—Press Association. —Copyright Received May 10, 8.5 a.m. Washington, Yesterday. President Taft, addressing the Organisation of American Farmers, bluntly declared he was sorry to hear that farmers intended to desert the Republican Party, if reciprocity was effected. The fear of such desertion would not affect his conviction regarding the wisdom of the proposed legislation. If experience showed that farmers suffered, Congress would be certain to repeal reciprocity. He believed the United States would send more agricultural products to Canada than she would receive from Canada.
