THE MILITARY FORCES.
PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH. I'KF.S? ASSOCIAT [OX.] Wellington, This Day. Provisional regulations were issued last evening for the military forces in the Dominion. Officers and soldier 3 of the New Zealand staff corps, permanent staff, and permanent force, are at all times liable for foreign service; the remainder of the forces are liable for service in the Dominion only. The retiring ages for the permanent force are fifty-five; for the Territorial force, colonels, quartermasters and bandmasters, sixty; for lieutenant - colonels, fifty-five; for majors, fifty; for captains, forty-five; for lieutenants, forty; for sergeants 1 forty; for staff sergeants and coloursergeants, forty-five, and for warrant officers, fifty. The regulations cover registration, discipline, scale of fines for different breaches, obligatory training, annual training, camp horses, ceremonial and finance.
