BOROUGH REFUSE SITE.

To The Editor. Sir—'The writer was informed on Wednesday that the borough intended to dump nightsoil on the Native land opposite our works. That means: First, polluting the main water-way from there to below Otorohanga because heavy floods sweep over the proposed dumping ground, consequently the spoil will be deposited on all the flats. Secondly, it will ruin the Native settlements and close the lime works. I was informed a site was offered within a quarter of a mile, which can, I believe, be utilised to advantage. Hoping the matter will receive careful consideration.—l arn, etc., JOHN WILSON.
