A bill dis-establislnng the Catholic religion abolishes taxes paid for the maintenance of the parish priests. Legacies for church services are forbidden. A third of the present receipts of clerical societies will be applied tu public charities. AH religious services will be under the supervision of state officials. Only Portuguese will be ordained as clergy, and conduct services. Papal bulls may not be published without the Government's permission.
