A RUMOUR DENIED. By Telegraph.—Pres: Association.— Copyright Received April 22, 9.15 a.m. Melbourne, This Day. The General Manager of the Messageries Maritimes emphatically denies a rumour that the company contemplates withdrawing from the Australian trade. The present contract expires in July 1912, and negotiations between the company and the French Government for a renewal are not completed. No one can yet say what the new agreements will be.
