SALE OF TOWN SECTIONS
HIGH PRICES REALISED. The YVaiUato-Maniapoto District Maori Land Board hai d an important sale of leases of township sections situated in tha Borough of To kuiti at the Courthouse this morning. There; was a large attendance of speculators, and the majority of the sections realised very hign prices. Improvements varying in value from Ss to £4 were attached to certain of the sections. Section 23, block 10, had a £l5O building on it, but was withdrawn, as part of the Hotel Grande stands on it. Sections S and 19, block VI, were also withdrawn, as negotiations for their acquisition by the Borough Council are in process. Mr J. W. W. Seymour was the auctioneer, and in opening the sale remarked that those were the last township sections to be offered for lease by the Board in Te Kuiti. The following are the particulars of the various lots offered, and the prices realised.
