As these comprise some of the finest residential and business j { sites in Otorohanga, some brisk bid- j ' { ding is expected. Posters will be j ] issued shortly and the sale will be ad- j vertised. i Constable Drummond from Mango- j nui has been appointed in succession I to Sergeant Fraser. He will not reach j j Otoiohanga for some days. Constable j Lambert from Auckland is to take up , the duties pro tern. ] Sergeant and Mrs Fraser departed j for Auckland on Tuesday morning. ■ } The billiard saloon in Poritou'3 } buildings lately leased by Mr McColl ( has now been taken over by Mr Baker ( ofTeKuiti. , Mr Neary is starting a saddlery J business in Maniapoto street having ° leas?d the premises lately occupied by , Mrs Cowley as a fruit shop. ( The forthcoming sale of town sections by the Native Land Board to be , held on 20th inst. is being looked for- [ ( ward to with keen interest. Some of the sections will undoubtedly bring a high rental. In last week's issui I mentioned that Messrs Mooney and Roigard of Waitomo Valley were holding a sale of stock and implements etc. on Wednesday May 3rd; this should read Tuasday May 2nd.
