NEW ZEALAND BUTTER.
To The Editor. Sir,--In your issue of Wednesday last, I noticed an article on the advertisement of New Zealand butter in the "Daily Mail." To-day I received a letter from a relative of mine at Home enclosing a copy of one of these advertisements, and my correspondent drew my attention to the fact that this was the first time he had ever noticed New Zealand butter advertised to any extent in the English papers. As the "Daily Mail" has an enormous circulation throughout the United Kingdom, these advertisements should do the Dominion's produce much good. At the White City in London, as you know, New Zealand had a pavilion, and amongst the numerous exhibits was a very striking display of tinned meats —of this country's production. The uniformed attendant told me that he was besieged with enquiries for the purchase of sample tins of these comestibles, but was unable to supply the demand, as the exhibits were of course for show purposes only. I remember at the time I thought it was a good opportunity for effective advertisement lost.—l am, etc., T. W. EVANS. Paemako, March 31, 1911.
