TE KUITI GUN CLUB.
A meeting of the Te Kuiti Gun Club was held in the "Chronicle" coffie last evening. Mr F. P. Moorhouse presided. It was proposed by Mr Cochrane and seconded by Mr N. C. Matthew, that the opening should be held on Thursday, April 27th. Mr Moorhouse proposed and Mr Mora seconded, that Messrs Cochrane, Matthew and the Secretary be a committee to interview the Borough Council to ask for permission to shoot within the borough. Messrs Moorhouse and P. Mora were appointed handicappers, and Mr Mora was also appointed referee. It was proposed by Mr Cochrane that on the opening day an open sweepstake handicap, open to all members of affiliated club (of 10s—■ nomination os, acceptance ss) be held, seconded by Mr Matthew and carried. It was proposed by Mr Moorhouse and seconded by Mr Cochrane, that a circular letter be drawn up and forwarded to the secretaries of affiliated gun club informing them of the sweepstake match. Seconded by Mr Cochrane and carried. It was proposed by Mr Cochrane, that the President (Mr Moorhouse), when in Auckland, be authorised to procure two barrels of birds and a fire angle trap.
