Work in connection with the forming of the Co-Operative Dairy Company is well forward, and the directors have been examining the older established factories at Niho Niho and Matiere before fixing the purchase of machinery. Councillor O'Brien has been urging on the completion of the Tokirima road to dray width to the proposed site of the factory and on his request the Ohura County Council has approached the Minister for Public Works to provide sufficient funds to enable this being done. As the progress of the Southern district depends on the development it is hoped that this urgent work will be proceeded with.
