A Te Kuiti business man recently did a trip through the Ohura, Waitewhena, Aria and Pio Pio districts on a motor cycle. After negotiating the Waitewbena track—for it is not a road —-the cyclist came across a few settlers with whom he entered into conversation. The fine type of machine was admired by all, with the exception of one, who considered that the cyclist wa3 behind the times. This was more than he could understand and his dreams of pioneering and negotiations of this road on a motor cycle quickly subsided as he hurriedly asked: "How?" "Well," replied the settler, "you ought to have a flying machine."
