ACCIDENT TO SCHOOL MASTER.
Own Correspondent, Oh Lira, Monday. Some excitement was caused in Mangaroa last Thursday when it was found that the local schoolmaster, Mr T. 1!. Mooney, was missing, and search for him tailed to reveal his whereabouts, It afterwards transpi roil that, alter school on the Wednesday !n: had gone out for a. ride over the hills and a young horse he was riding on, taking fright at a sheep which jumped down in front of it. fell into a ditch, rider undermost. in struggling to get free the animal kicked Ivlr Mooney on the heat! and body, se\e re I y injuring him and leaving him unconscious. lie was found by Messrs Sholverton ilros., of Turoto road, who too!: him to their residence in a gig and kindly did all they could for him. On the Friday he was taken to the township after an enforced absence of two days, and is now speedily recovering, being able to attend school to-day, though obviously under difficulties.
