MANSE FUND CONCERT.

A first-class concert in aid of the Congregational Manse Fund at Pio Pio was held on Thursday evening in the Miroahuiao Hall, Pio Pio. There was a large attendance, which would have been larger but for the uncertainty as to the night for the concert. Mr Fotts occupied the chair, and the following programme was given:— Pianoforte solo, Miss James; song, "What Care I," Mr Blackmail; reading, "A Roman Guide," Miss Parkes; song, "'The Wreath," Mr Helmsing; duet, "Ora Pro Nobis," Misses Livingstone; song, Gounod's "Serenade," Miss King; song, "Queen of the Earth," Mr Wallace; song, "Alone on the Raft," Mr - ~ -—; song, "Angus McDonald," Miss Livingstone; song, "Friar of Orders Grey" Mr Blackmail, duet, "JNocturne," Misses James and King; reading, "The Stuffed Trout," Miss Parses; song, "Bid me to love,"Miss James; song, "Two eyes of grey," Mr Helmsing. .Nearly every item was enthusiastically encored and greatly enjoyed. A number of visitors from Te Kuiti took part in the entertainment, returning by a late coach in the cold and frosty hours of early morning.
