Sheepskins--Market easier. Butchers' best skins 7s fid, good fis to 6s 9d, medium 4s fid to 5s 3d, small 3s fid to 4s, dry skins, large to 6s, lambs and pelts Is 4d to Is t)d, seconds lOd to Is 2d. Tallow—Market firm- Best mixed 29s fid. good 2Ss 3d, medium 23s 6d to 255; rough fat, Id to l£d per lb. Cow tails —Is Sd per doz. Horse hair —Is 4d to Is <id per lb. Bones-Good dry £ls 4s per ton.

The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: At Ohaupo, on January 24th, we yarded 500 head of cattle and 60 fat wethers. There was only a moderate attendance, and bidding was dull. Two year steers made £3 15s to £4 -3s, 12 to 18 months steers £2 17s Gd to £3 ss, empty IS months heifers £2 10s, good calves 27s Gd to 355, younger sorts ISs to 22s Gd, fat wethers IGs.

At Matiere, Ohura, on January 24th, we yarded 700 sheep and 530 cattle. There was a really good enquiry for the latter, and prices were fully up to thoso ruling at any time this spring. Sheep were not in great demai'd. Two and a half year steers sold from £5 2s Gd to £5 10s, two year steers £1 3s to £4 10s, IS months steers £3 10s to £4 Is, fat cows and heifers £4 15s to £d 10s, wearier cavics 33s to 4 ss, very choice three vear dairy heifers, to calve September next, £5 2s, aged ewes 7s Gd, two tooth wethers lis 9d to 12s Gd.

At Ngaruavvahia, on January 25th, we had a yarding of 1581 head of cattle, chiefly 2i to 3A year steers, all well bred and in really good condition. Competition was not a3 keen aa at our sale in the same yards on November 30th last, and prices were about 10a lower for the forward cattle. The 2 and 21 year cattle did not show the same fall in value, and younger sorts still, weaner calves to 18 months steers, almost maintained previous quotations. Large framed forward 3A to 4 year steers .£6 6s to £7 4s, good conditioned 3J year steers £5 12s (id to £(> 2s, nice quality 3 year steers £5 5s to £5 15e, best 2J year steers .£4 15s to £5, store steers same age £4 7s ticl to £4 12s Cd, fresh conditioned cows and heifers £1 to £4 15s, fat cows £5 5s to £5 14s, store cows £3 10s to £-3 17s 6d, 18 month steres £3 10s to £3 lis 6d, 18 month 3 steers £3 10s to £3 15s, 15 month steers £3 to £3 ss, weaner calves 20s to 2'Js, for small, good tiorts 32s to 395, 300 store lambs 7s. At Hamilton yards, on January 2'ith, the entry comprised 627 sheep, 153 pigs and 453 head of cattle. I'at wethers light weights, made 14s 3d to 15s 9d, aged fat ewes 9s (id to 12s, large framed ewes, chiefly 4 and 6 tooth 14s, small store wethers lis. Pigs sold better than at any sale this season. Weaners lis to lGs, small weaners 5s to 7s, slips 17s 6d to 21s, porkers 31s to 345. Fat cows £4 10s to £5 12s, yearling steers £2 18a Calves, of which there was a large entry, were lower. Really good sorts 35s to 403, medium 27s I Od to 335, small 15s to 225.
