"Lloyds' Register" states that 473 steamers, totalling 1,137,73S tons, 27 sailing ships, totalling 5431 tons, 45 warships totalling 134,645 tons, wree launched in the United Kingdom last year. The tonnage launched for abroad was 223,464 tons, or nineteen and a half per cent, of the total output, coimpared with twenty-four and two-fifths per cent, in 1909. The colonies provided the largest amount for shipbuilders.
